THE OTHER SIDE OF THE UNDERNEATH (DVD + Blu-ray)
A film by Jane Arden
Directed by Jane Arden, this violent and powerful film looks into the mind of a young woman labelled schizophrenic and finds, not madness, but tortured sexual guilt created by taboos of society.
The only British feature film solo directed by a woman during the 1970s, The Other Side of Underneath was once thought lost. Here it is presented in a transfer made from the original negative, and accompanied by a number of fascinating and revealing extras.
