Hemlock Books

Established in 2007 by the late film historian Denis Meikle, Hemlock Books is an independent genre publisher based in East Sussex, England. We cover a diverse range of subjects that fall into the categories of film horror, mystery and the macabre and, working in partnership with some of the most knowledgeable film writers around, have published books on Hammer Films, Amicus Films, Vincent Price and Tod Slaughter as well as film retrospectives (X-Cert and X-Cert2 which cover the 1950s to the 1980s). We also publish genre magazines The Age of Thrills (1930s and 1940s), The Fantastic Fifties and The Sensational Sixties.
