Paul Merton: Driving Amazing Trains follows comedian and lifelong train enthusiast Paul Merton as he climbs into the cab and takes control of some of the world’s most iconic trains across Europe and the UK.

Over six hour long episodes, Merton travels through Germany, France, Switzerland, Wales, Northern England and the Isle of Wight — meeting engineers, conductors and passengers, exploring tunnels carved through mountains, bridges spanning ravines and spiralling tracks that defy gravity.
