When Simone (Bernadette Lafont, Out 1) is accused of murdering her husband, lawyer Jean-Pierre (Trintignant) is assigned to her defence, uncovering connections between the dead man and an ambitious politician.

Co-written by acclaimed director Alain Corneau (Série noire) and photographed by renowned Jean-Luc Godard and Jacques Rivette collaborator William Lubtchansky (Masculin féminin, La Belle noiseuse), Défense de savoir is a showcase for some of French cinema’s greatest talents.
