Zombie & The Ghost Train

The multi award-winning picture 'Zombie and the Ghost Train see Zombie (Silu Seppala), a twenty-something who does two things well; play bass guitar and drink. Returning to his native Finland after being called up to the army, Zombie lives a bleary eyed existence in an apartment near his parents house. His girlfriend Marjo (Marjo Leinonen) and friend Harri (Matti Pellonpaa) try to intervene to save him from his path of self-destruction, but Zombie may just be unsalvageable. About the Director

Mika Kaurismaki, arguably Finland's most internationally celebrated independent director, has worked with such noted actors as Johnny Depp, Jurgen Prochnow and Robert Davi. He is a powerhouse of creativity: writing, producing and directing a film almost every year. Kaurismaki's body of work is as varied and diverse as it is critically lauded, now living and working primarily in Brazil. He has shown himself to be as successful at directing comedy and love stories as he is at directing documentary and action adventure. A truly fascinating and multi talented director, his earlier works are a must see for any fan of independent cinema.
