Deep in the eerie, isolated forests of Finland, a couple’s dream of starting a family decays into a waking nightmare. Nightborn serves as a visceral, folk-horror allegory for postpartum depression, using body horror to expose the darkest fears of motherhood.
Saga and her British husband Jon move into her decaying childhood home, seeking a peaceful fresh start. Following a gruelling birth, their newborn son, Kuura, begins transforming at an impossible, terrifying rate—sprouting hair and developing a disturbing craving for blood…!
From Hanna Bergholm, the director of the acclaimed Hatching.
